Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. For the past few years I've avoided Jigsaw womenswear shops, because whereas once you were capable of getting real "finds" there, recently it's been just row upon row of boring office girl suits. But this season it has really got its act together and the autumn/winter collection is fantastic. All the looks are there - big cardigans, geometric prints, knee-length skirts as well as snappy classics - great jumpers, tapered trousers and accessories (look out for their splendid version of a long Doctor Who scarf). The list of "must haves" is too long to mention here - there wasn't one thing I didn't like - but to give you an idea of cost, the sweater featured here is pounds 48 and the most expensive item in the collection is a kid leather parka, which retails at pounds 430. Jigsaw, well done.
Jigsaw has branches up and down the country; call 0171 491 4484 for your nearest stockist.
