From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Zoe Sugg and Ella Mills, aka Deliciously Ella, are among the wealthiest female social media influencers under 30, according to an annual UK rich list.

According to Heat Magazine’s list, Sugg, otherwise known as Zoella, has an estimated overall wealth of £4.7m.

The 29-year-old’s revenue mostly comes from social media, where she has amassed millions of followers across YouTube and Instagram.

Sugg primarily uploads lifestyle and beauty content and due to her 9.7 million Instagram followers, can reportedly earn up to £12,000 per sponsored post. She has also authored several books and launched an eponymous beauty brand.

Mills, 28, meanwhile, has an estimated wealth of £2.5m thanks to the various components that make up her brand, which include healthy snacks, cookbooks and a London-based deli.

In third place is YouTube vlogger-turned-actor Tanya Burr (£1.6m) and fashion vlogger Victoria Magrath, who has an estimated wealth of £1.2m.

Now in its ninth year, Heat's Rich List is compiled by combining public information regarding a celebrity's accounts, endorsement deals, TV contracts and record deals. A team of experts goes over the findings to calculate each celebrity's lifetime earnings to date.

The only conditions for inclusion are that each person be classed as an entertainer, that they are 30 or under and that they chiefly reside in, or are from, the UK.

Topping its list of the richest Britons under 30 is Ed Sheeran, who, with £170m to his name, is worth almost double that of Daniel Radcliffe, who comes in second place with £90m.

Both Emma Watson and Cara Delevingne make the top 10, with £57m and £39.5m respectively.

Heat also ranks the wealthiest stars under 30 outside of the UK, which is topped by Kylie Jenner, whose estimated wealth is £736m.
