Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Tomorrow night, Sky One mounts an impressive Sunday night line- up to launch a new look for the channel. Exclusive premiere episodes of five best-loved shows can be seen back-to-back - the 200th episode of The Simpsons precedes the much-hyped Friends wedding finale, with a special two-hour, movie-length X-Files in close pursuit. Hot on their heels is Hot Summer Downunder, rounded off with a visit to South Park.

To celebrate this exceptional night of entertainment, we have teamed up with Sky One to offer you the chance to win some great prizes:

One first prize-winner will receive a four-night holiday for two in New York, home of Friends. You will have coffee in Greenwich Village, go on a shopping spree in New York City, have a guided sightseeing tour and dinner in a New York diner.

The second prize-winner will get a limited-edition Simpsons cel. Produced using a process known as "giclee", which is recognised as a fine-art alternative to hand-painting, the cel is accompanied by a 20th Century Fox Seal and Certificate of Authenticity. Only 500 will ever be produced worldwide.

Three third prize-winners will receive a Pace satellite system, fully installed, which each come complete with three months' free subscription to all the Sky channels.

Fifteen runners-up will win Simpsons 200th episode limited-edition posters.

In the hour-long special Friends' episode, "The One With Ross's Wedding" - screened first on Sky One, Ross, Chandler, Joey and Monica head off to London for Ross's wedding to Emily. Rachel, realising she is still in love with Ross, decides to fly to London to tell him. But does she have the courage to say how she really feels? Will he go through with the ceremony?

Don't miss "The One with Ross's Wedding" screened first on Sky One (7pm, 31 May) where all will be revealed (or will it?) as part of an exciting line-up of entertainment beginning at 6pm tomorrow.

For a chance to win, answer the following question:
