WIN A PROMS PASS
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The 103rd season of Henry Wood Promenade Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall in London begins on Friday 18 July. Between then and the last night jamboree on 13 September, there are 72 concerts, covering everything from John Adams to Iannis Xenakis, with a bit of the Beatles and Frank Zappa thrown in for good measure. At a mere pounds 3 a ticket, promenading must be the best bargain in the musical world. Real klassical keenies will, of course, go for a full-season ticket to the entire series. But for those without quite that much staying (or standing) power, a quarterly Proms pass provides the perfect potted experience.
The Independent has a total of 40 quarterly passes to give away - 10 for each quarter of the season.
Quarter 1 covers the period 18 July to 3 August (20 concerts), Quarter 2, 4 to 17 Aug (20 concerts), Quarter 3, 18 to 31 Aug (17 concerts), Quarter 4, 1 to 12 September (16 concerts, not including the last night).
To claim your free season ticket, call 0171-838 3108 today, between 10am and 4pm. Please state that you are an Independent reader calling for the Proms Quarter Season competition. Passes will be allocated on the basis of first come, first served, so be prepared with an alternative choice of dates. Passes will be sent out direct to winners from the Royal Albert Hall.
