On Saturday, the fashion designer posted an image of the couple from the 1990s walking their pet dogs, Snoop and Puffy.
“Still dog walking together 23 years later,” Victoria captioned the post. “Love you so much.”
The photo showed the pair wearing the ultimate retro outfits. While Victoria opted for a metallic puffer jacket, jogging bottoms and a baseball cap emblazoned with a logo for the New York Yankees, David was dressed in a black tracksuit, oversized rain coat and white beanie hat.
The mother-of-four followed the image with a compilation video set to the song Long Train Runnin’ by The Doobie Brothers.
The short video included spliced together home footage of David and the couple’s children, including clips of the former footballer at Disneyland wearing Mickey Mouse ears, Cruz and Romeo playing the guitar as toddlers, and a baby Harper taking her first steps.
“Happy bday to the best daddy. Celebrating in lockdown and missing @brooklynbeckham and all our friends and family today. We all love you so much xxx [sic],” Victoria wrote in the caption.
The couple’s son Romeo also shared his own tribute to his father with a series of photos of them posing together.
In the caption, the 17-year-old took the opportunity to mock David over his height, writing: “Happy birthday dad. I love you so so so so much and hope you have the best day. Sorry for being officially taller than you now.”
David responded to the post in the comments section, adding: “It’s all because [of] the manbun”.
Victoria’s Instagram post comes after the former Spice Girl announced she has reversed her decision to furlough 30 members of staff at her eponymous fashion brand.
Last month, she came under fire when it was announced that her company had applied to use public money to support its staff.
In a statement given to the Guardian, Victoria reassured customers that the “welfare” of her team is of paramount importance.
“We will not now be drawing on the government furlough scheme,” she explained.
“At the beginning of the lockdown the shareholders agreed with senior management to furlough a small proportion of staff.
“At that point we didn’t know how long the lockdown might last or its likely impact on the business. The welfare of my team and our business means everything to me.”
