Taylor Swift describes resolving feud with Katy Perry as ‘positive’
The duo star together in Swift's latest music video

After years of rumours, symbolic jabs in music videos and memes, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have finally resolved their longstanding rift.
Showcasing their newfound friendship to the world, Perry stars in Swift’s latest music video, "You Need to Calm Down", with the two captured embracing in a final scene dressed as a hamburger and fries, respectively.
Now, Swift has spoken out about the now-resolved feud, telling Greg James on Tuesday's episode of the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show that befriending Perry again has been a “positive turn” in her life.
"I asked her if she'd be interested in this and Katy said, 'I'd love for us to be a symbol of redemption and forgiveness'," Swift stated, adding: "I feel the same way about it."
Following the release of the video on Monday, Perry tweeted two screengrabs from the clip with the caption: “This meal is BEEF-free #MeatFreeMonday”.
The two singers told the world they’d ended their rivalry on Wednesday when Perry shared a photograph of some freshly-baked cookies with “peace at last” written on the plate on Instagram.
The "Firework" singer tagged Swift in the caption and wrote: “Feels good”. Swift commented underneath with several heart emojis.
Perry’s post has garnered more than 1.5 million likes, with thousands of fans commenting underneath begging the talented duo to collaborate and release a song together.
“Do I smell a collab?” wrote one person. Another added: “I smell a song coming on”.
