Mike Tindall has shared a heartwarming photograph of the Duke of Edinburgh with his great granddaughter.

Mia, seven, is the eldest child of Mr Tindall and Zara Tindall. Ms Tindall is Princess Anne’s daughter.

The couple also share another daughter, Lena, two, and a son together, Lucas, who was born last month.

In the photograph, Prince Philip and Mia are pictured sat side by side on a wooden bench outside a cabin.

The duo are captured sharing a meal together in the snap, which was taken by the Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince Philip died on Friday 9 April at the age of 99 at Windsor Castle.

In Mr Tindall’s caption, he paid tribute to his late grandfather-in-law.

“It’s been a very sad week but it has given us time to reflect on great memories and stories both personal and shared,” he wrote.

“A devoted family man who we will forever miss but always love.”

Mr Tindall’s note comes after he welcomed his third child with Ms Tindall.

The baby was born at 6pm on Sunday 21 March , weighing 8lbs 4oz.

Ms Tindall delivered the baby at home, Mr Tindall has revealed on his rugby podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, which he hosts with  James Haskell and Alex Payne.

“Sunday got even better because a little baby boy arrived at my house,” he said before revealing that Ms Tindall had given birth to Lucas on their bathroom floor because the baby “arrived very quickly”.

“So yeah, it was running to the gym, get a mat, get into the bathroom, get the mat on the floor, towels down, brace, brace, brace,” he said.

The couple will attend Prince Philip’s funeral this afternoon, which is set to take place at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

They will joined by other senior members of the royal family, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex, who has flown in from Los Angeles for the occasion.
