The baby was born at 4.22am no Monday 15 March, weighing 6lbs 7oz.
“Mother and baby are doing well,” a family spokesperson told The Independent.
The birth marks Ms Middleton’s second child with her husband, James, 45, who works as a hedge fund manager.
The couple welcomed their first child, a two-year-old boy named Arthur, in 2018.
Grace Elizabeth Jane will be cousin to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s three children: Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, two.
Many royal fans have noticed that Ms Middleton’s new addition shares a middle name with the Queen’s first name.
However, the choice is more likely down to the fact that Ms Middleton’s mother, Carole Elizabeth Middleton, and sister, who was born Catherine Elizabeth Middleton, share the same middle name.
Ms Middleton and her husband married in May 2017 at St Mark’s Church in Bucklebury, West Berkshire.
The couple’s first child was born hours after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they were expecting their first child, whom they later named Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor.
Ms Middleton had provided updates throughout her first pregnancy in her fitness column for Waitrose.
Shortly before giving birth to Arthur, she wrote: “As the final month nears and the bump grows prouder each day, movement is certainly getting more awkward.
“As a result, one of the biggest changes is that my lower body has tightened up.”
