Kate Middleton has reworn a wardrobe favourite of hers to discuss the results of her "5 Big Questions" early years survey, with royal fans speculating that she wore the blouse backwards again.

On Sunday, the Duchess of Cambridge shared a Q&A video to the official Kensington Royal Instagram, where she responded to various questions submitted by followers regarding the survey and raising children.

"I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who sent in their questions. There are a huge number here with loads of wonderful emojis attached to them,” the mother-of-three began the video.

For the appearance, the duchess wore a $1,300 purple Gucci blouse with a pussy bow detail in the front, which she previously wore in March 2019 during a visit to Henry Fawcett Children’s Centre in London.

However, as noted by Marie Claire, Kate styles the blouse differently than Gucci, choosing to wear the blouse backwards with the buttons in the front rather than the back.

In photos from her 2019 appearance, the buttons on the blouse can clearly be seen under the pussy bow, while it appears the duchess made the same sartorial decision again for her recent video appearance.

On Gucci and Net-a-Porter’s website, however, where the blouse is out of stock, the buttons are shown worn at the back of the top.

“Gucci's blouse is designed in a beautiful purple hue that is so fresh for the season - especially if you tend to wear darker colours. Cut from fluid silk-crepe, this style has a loose silhouette and features fabric-covered buttons that run down the back,” the description on Net-a-Porter reads. “Gently knot the pussy-bow ties or leave them loose for an undone feel.”

But despite the description, a pink version of the blouse, which is currently in stock on the Net-a-Porter website, shows the top styled with the buttons in the front under the pussy bow detailing, proving that the designer piece may be correct when worn either way.

Kate is known for altering clothes to suit her personal style, with Anthony McGrath, a fashion journalist and senior lecturer at the Fashion Retail Academy, previously telling Insider: “Kate enjoys adjusting outfits to suit current trends. She will quite often add a bow, remove a keyhole, or change the length of skirts or sleeves to make them her own.”

During the recent video, which comes amid several appearances from the duchess regarding the results of her survey, Kate answered questions such as how she handles “toddler tantrums” at home, with the royal admitting she’d like advice as well.

“Yes, that’s a hard one. I’d also like to ask the experts myself!” the duchess responded while laughing.
