Rihanna has been named on Forbeslist of richest self-made women in America for the first time ever, with a net worth of $600m.

According to Forbes, the singer and Fenty Beauty founder comes in 33rd place on the list, with her music and her cosmetics line and its partnership with LVMH contributing a large part to her success.

The outlet estimated that Fenty Beauty had over $600m in sales in 2019, with Rihanna previously telling Time that she has “100 per cent involvement” in the creation of the brand.

"I have 100 per cent involvement in this process, which is what makes this so special and very fun. I have so much creative freedom from products to packaging, and that’s really the only way this brand will stay true to my vision for it,” the Barbados-native said.

In addition to the 32-year-old’s profitable beauty line, Rihanna’s net worth also comes from her lingerie brand Savage x Fenty, which she co-owns with Techstyle Fashion Company, and which Forbes reports raised $50m from investors last year.

Rihanna is also one of the most charitable celebrities, with her Clara Lionel Foundation raising more than $22.5m for coronavirus relief, and the singer personally donating upwards of $8m to relief efforts.

The Work singer joined other celebrities on this year’s list including Kylie Jenner, with a net worth of $700m, Madonna, who has a net worth of $550m, Taylor Swift, with a net worth of $356m, and Jennifer Lopez, who has a net worth of $150m, according to Forbes.

As for first place, Diane Hendricks, co-founder and chair of ABC Supply, tops the list with a net worth of $8bn.
