Actor Rebel Wilson has suffered an injury after a dog ran into her path while she was cycling in London.

The Australian shared a picture of her ankle and lower leg resting on a table with ice packs on to her 9.7 million followers via her Instagram stories.

Alongside the image, she wrote: “F*** people who don’t have their dogs on the lead and let them run onto the road!!”

The Pitch Perfect star also posted a video she had filmed of herself from earlier in the day, when she was cycling past Buckingham Palace, writing: “But 20 minutes earlier before the accident I was cycling great!!’

The 41-year-old is believed to be in the capital while working on a new filming project.

She recently posted a socially-distanced picture of herself and Matt Lucas on social media - the pair co-starred in the 2011 film Bridesmaids.

The comedic actor has been through a transformative year and shared with fans that 2020 was a “year of health” as she lost nearly four and a half stone in weight.

In an hour-long video posted on social media in December, Wilson opened up about why she wanted to become healthier.

She held back tears while discussing the more personal aspects of her journey, saying: “It’s hard when I talk about the emotional stuff. It’s hard. I can do this.”

She continued: “I wasn’t valuing myself and telling myself negative things. That was hard. I’m trying to change those patterns, so you’re more loving and treating yourself with respect.

“I’m working on self love, and that’s a hard concept to master."
