From the third series of the Netflix show, Bruley made several appearances to hang out with the Fab Five in their Kansas City apartment.
The French bulldog, who starred in 16 episodes overall, quickly became a beloved component of the television programme among viewers.
On Thursday, the official Queer Eye Twitter account released a statement regarding the passing of Bruley, in addition to several pictures of the dog photographed with Antoni Porowski, Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown, Jonathan Van Ness and Tan France.
“RIP to our dear bru bru!” the tweet read. “Each time we returned to our loft in Kansas City you were always there to greet us and that brought us so much joy. We hope you have an endless supply of treats to munch on.”
Bruley’s owner was Michelle Silva, a producer on Queer Eye.
Silva shared a heartfelt tribute to Bruley on the dog’s dedicated Instagram account, revealing that his cause of death was a heart attack.
“My whole heart. My love bug. My best friend. My constant. My soul mate. My everything,” the television producer wrote in the caption.
“Bru had been suffering from heart problems, and an instant heart attack was a possibility.
“He just had too much love and heart for his physical body.”
Silva added that in the episodes of Queer Eye in which Bruley starred, viewers were able to see the dog that she “knew and loved”.
“He was hilarious, stubborn, sometimes inappropriate, and always a sucker for a snack. He was pure love. It’s been so fun capturing his spirit and sharing more with you all here,” Silva wrote.
Berk, the resident interior design expert on Queer Eye, shared a tribute to Bruley on social media, expressing his condolences towards Silva.
“RIP my furry little friend,” he wrote. “You brought joy to so many with your jump kisses, grunts and even your farts.
“You were the best little sidekick we could have had.”
Numerous Queer Eye fans expressed their sorrow over the passing of the 10-year-old French bulldog.
“Oh no. Not Bruley. He was stinking cute. I’m so so sorry for all of you,” one person tweeted.
“Oh Bruley! You will be dearly missed by your favourite humans, and those of us who fell in love with you through our screens,” another wrote.
