Today, Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her 93rd birthday.

The Queen has received messages of goodwill from people across the globe in commemoration of the milestone.

Among the plethora of tweets and Instagram posts, the monarch has also been presented with sweet sentiments from her nearest and dearest - the royal family.

From the Duke and Duchess of Sussex honouring "Granny" to the Prince of Wales sharing a photograph of his mother holding a corgi, here's how members of the royal family wished the monarch a happy birthday:

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex

The most informal birthday message of all the royals came from Prince Harry and Meghan, which was posted on their newly launched Instagram account.

"Happy Birthday Your Majesty, Ma'am, Granny. Wishing you the most wonderful day! Harry and Meghan," the Instagram caption reads.

Several people expressed their admiration for the affectionate use of the term "Granny" in the caption.

"Love the caption, it's so real and relatable," one person wrote.

"What a nice and personal post," another added.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge wished the Queen a happy birthday on the Twitter and Instagram accounts for Kensington Palace, which they previously shared with Prince Harry and Meghan.

"Wishing a very happy 93rd birthday to Her Majesty The Queen!" the caption reads.

In one of the pictures the couple appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony with their two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, alongside the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince Harry and the Duke of Edinburgh.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall

On the Twitter and Instagram accounts for Clarence House, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall wished the Queen a happy birthday with a series of nostalgic photographs.

"Happy 93rd birthday to Her Majesty The Queen," the caption reads.

The first picture shows the Queen smiling while holding a corgi, a dog breed for which she's known to have a particular fondness.

In the second picture, Prince Charles is pictured kissing his mother's hand after taking part in a polo match.

The Duke of York

The Duke of York, the third child and second son of the Queen and Prince Philip, shared a selection of pictures of himself with his mother on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.

In one of the images, the Queen is sitting alongside a young Prince Andrew while holding baby Prince Edward.

The royal family

On the official Twitter and Instagram accounts for the royal family, a video was shared which includes pictures of the monarch from every decade of her life.

The compilation begins with a photograph of the Queen as a newborn baby in 1926, to her recent visit to King's College last month, in her 93rd year.
