Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Let’s be honest, most of us are wondering whether to get a hatch or a small SUV. But there are others who have progressed beyond such mundane considerations. Don’t believe they have it easy though. They still have choices to make, just like we do, and the sums involved make it all the more important that they make the right choice.

Yup, okay, there’s no way you’re going to feel sorry for someone about to buy a 911 Turbo S, fair enough, but it was worth a try. On the other hand, we might feel slightly sorry for someone who had to choose between these cars based on their colours. We don’t think either is that great for the vehicle.

But under that paint we have a delicious pair of supercars, the Porsche 911 Turbo S and the Aston Martin DB11. They look fabulous (under the paint), they go like the clappers clapping as hard as clappers can clap, and they sound divine.

So if you want to find out if the new British car is more than a handsome GT car and whether it can take on the mighty Turbo S, you’ll simply have to watch the video and remember to turn the sound up. Feel free to clap.
