Your support makes all the difference.Lexus has announced a series of improvements to its luxury hybrid GS range. Volvo-style pre-crash braking systems have been added to the existing pre-crash seatbelt and brake assist systems, along with "active" anti-whiplash head restraints.
New sat-nav and audio systems are offered, and Lexus probably deserves half a pat on the back for offering DAB radio as an option, although it remains a mystery why Lexus and other manufacturers are so reluctant to fit this technology to their cars when it is widely available in sub-£30 kitchen radios.
No changes have been announced to the GS450h's drivetrain – a 3.5 litre petrol V6 paired with a 650 volt electric motor – and only a few cosmetic tweaks distinguish this latest version from its predecessors; a revised grille and tail lights, and new alloy wheel designs.
