Your support makes all the difference.Collectors and enthusiasts are gathering at the Automobiles of London event at the Battersea Evolution arena in south west London for an auction of 100 classic cars.
Held in association with Sotheby's, the auction is expected to attract the who's who of the world of global car collectors, to bid for an exceptional collection of vintage cars.
Some of the finest British, German and Italian luxury marques are going under the hammer tonight. Classic cars in the sale include a 1938 Horch 853 Special Roadster, a 1964 Ferrari 250 LM Berlinetta, a rare 1938 Bugatti Type 57C Atalante and a 1924 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Torpedo.
This is the second annual Automobiles of London event. Total sales at last year's innagural event hit £18,000,000. In the face of the global economic crisis, it will be interesting to see if vintage car collectors again spend so extravagently; lots such as the 1938 Bugatti Type 57c Atalante are estimated to sell for between £600,000-£800,000, while a 1932 Bentley is listed at £690,000-£790,000.
