Miley Cyrus has revealed all the things she loves about her husband Liam Hemsworth with a touching birthday message.

In celebration of Hemsworth’s 29th birthday, the singer penned an open letter on Instagram, sharing all her favourite things about her “favourite dude”.

Cyrus began by detailing some of her husband’s great qualities, including the way he looks at his family, how he’s never too proud to ask for help and his infectious positive outlook.

“The way you look at me…the way you look at your family, your friends, at strangers, at life,” she wrote.

“The look on your face when you receive good news and how you look at the bad news.

“I love how you always try things your way, but are never to proud to ask for help. (Yes, I've noticed and taken note, I'm a work in progress).”

The Wrecking Ball singer also joked about how the bad things about Liam are also some of the best, writing: “I like your dirty socks on the floor cause that means you’re home.

“I even love when you shrink my favourite t-shirt in the dryer - because having a boyfriend (oh em gee I almost forgot you're my friggen husband now) that does laundry is pretty much the best things ever [sic]”.

In the heart-warming love note, Cyrus also gave an insight into the things the couple like to do together including eating Chinese food when they’re hungover, watching The Sandlot and taking long drives.

“I love laying in bed late at night looking at new recipes, only going to sleep so we can wake up and make breakfast together while having a hot cup of coffee,” she wrote.

“I love laying on the couch eating Chinese when we’re hungover from the night before.

“I love going to a random party and remembering basically everyone is fake AF out here and how lucky I am to share a life with someone so real.”

Cyrus ended the note by thanking her husband for giving her the happiest days of her life.

“If the world had more of this type of understanding we wouldn’t be building more walls but bridges,” she concluded.

“You and me baby... let's take this dark place head on and shine through with the light of L.O.V.E.

“Thank you for giving me the happiest days of my life.”

The couple married in a secret ceremony in Cyrus’ hometown of Nashville on 23 December.

The pop star shared the news with her fans three days later on Instagram, by uploading a series of black and white photographs of her and her new husband at the wedding.

The first was a selfie, which showed the pair kissing and was captioned: “This is probably our one – millionth kiss ...."
