Lusiana Lopilato, has spoken out over claims that her husband, Michael Buble, exhibited “abusive” behaviour towards her in a recent Instagram live video.

In the short clip, viewers watched as Buble elbowed Lopilato in her side before pulling her into an embrace.

But the video was heavily criticised on social media, with many users labelling the singer’s actions “abusive”.

“Plz tell me what you think of this... to all of us is clearly a man being abusive with his wife, the way her grabbed her by the arm... that’s Michael Bublé... [sic]” tweeted one person.

“She keeps on denying it but there’s so many videos of him and treating her the same way.”

However, others dismissed the behaviour as “playful”.

Lopilato has since published a statement on Instagram defending her husband.

Writing in Spanish, the Argentinian model and actor expressed gratitude to those who were concerned for her safety.

“I want you all to know that I have no doubts about who my husband is and that I would choose him again a thousand times over!!” Lopilato wrote before declaring the allegations against Buble “not fair”.

But concerns persisted, prompting Lopilato to post a second statement to fans insisting that she is perfectly safe.

“I’ve seen your messages over the weekend and I am very thankful. Thank you for worrying,” she began.

“It’s very important that we pay attention to these problems that have been mentioned and that I am lucky not to suffer.

“But it is important to pay attention to be able to help women that are going through it.”

Buble has not yet addressed the claims.

The couple have been together since 2009 after meeting on the set the music video for “Haven’t Met You Yet”, in which Lopilato played Buble’s love interest.

They got engaged later that year and tied the knot in a ceremony in April 2011.
