The commercial, which aired as the Kansas City Chiefs face-off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, featured McConaughey explaining that lately he hasn’t “been feeling like myself,” as he shows off his completely flat body.
“Life used to feel fuller,” he said as he went flying as he attempted to catch a football throw, before disappearing from view when turning to the side.
The ad, which at one point sees the actor almost sucked up by a roomba vacuum, concludes with McConaughey finding the answer in a package of 3D Doritos.
“Doritos. Now in 3D,” the 51-year-old narrates as he fills out into normal width.

On social media, the commercial was met with horror, with many viewers expressing their discomfort over the “nightmare fuel” depiction of McConaughey.
“Flat Matthew McConaughey is not something I wanted to see ever,” one person tweeted.
Another said: “That Matthew McConaughey commercial should have never been made.”
“Flat Matthew McConaughey is nightmare fuel,” someone else wrote.
Others revealed that they preferred the actor’s cameos in Lincoln ads to the new commercial.
“Tbh I prefer Matthew McConaughey's mysterious Lincoln ads to this bizarre Doritos one,” one person wrote.
Someone else tweeted: “The Matthew McConaughey in those Lincoln car commercials does not approve of Matthew McConaughey in that Doritos ad.”
