A Russian oligarch has married his model partner in an incredibly lavish ceremony.

Aleksey Shapovalov officially married the mother of his two children, 27-year-old Ksenia Tsaritsina, at Barvikha Luxury Village hotel in Rublekva, Moscow.

It was an elaborate affair by anyone’s standards, featuring outfit changes, an eight-tier “floating” cake and performances by the couple’s favourite musicians.

The couple had been together for five years before tying the knot, and Tsaritsina had previously revealed the diamond ring Shapovalov bought her, which is reported to be worth £7.7 million.

Photographs of the big day reveal the incredibly intricate dresses Tsaritsina wore over the course of the day.

One was strapless with a sweetheart neckline and floral embellishment, and she changed into another sweeping lace number with a long veil.

The eight-tier wedding cake had been designed to look like it was floating, complete with beaded chandelier finish.

And to finish off the sparkly white theme, the venue was decorated with hundreds of white flowers.

Guests were entertained by the newlyweds’ favourite musicians: Eurovision runner-up Polina Gagarina and rock band Leningrad.

“It was unbelievable,” Tsaritsina said. “Thank you to our friends for sharing this wonderful day with us. Thank you to your large and loving family.”

She and her new husband Shapovalov divide their time between Dubai and Russia, and Tsaritsina regularly posts pictures from her glamourous, luxurious life on Instagram, where she has 258,000 followers.
