Maura Higgins has opened up about her split from Curtis Pritchard, revealing that there is “no bad feeling” between them.

The couple met on Love Island in June 2019, coming fourth in the series, and have been together since leaving the villa.

Now, Higgins has shared a statement on an Instagram story confirming they have broken up after eight months of dating.

“Curtis and I have made the decision to separate,” the Irish reality TV star began.

“We enjoyed a great experience from our time in the villa and want to thank everyone for supporting our relationship.”

The 29-year-old continued: “There is no easy way to get through a breakup and no bad feeling on either side.

“We tried to make it work, but it wasn’t meant to be and I wish Curtis nothing but the best for the future.”

Pritchard has not yet publicly commented on the split.

The news comes after Pritchard was forced to deny allegations he had cheated on Higgins after he had been photographed hugging another woman.

Speaking on ITV's Lorraine, the 24-year-old said: “It is nonsense. You can’t hug somebody or talk to somebody in this day and age without something coming out.

“Me and Maura are completely fine… I have found love.”
