Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk have separated after four years together, it has been reported.
According to People, the Oscar-nominated actor and the model have split and are “amicably” working out how to share custody of their two-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper.
The celebrity couple first started dating in spring 2015, after being spotted at a Broadway production of Finding Neverland.
Shortly afterwards, the pair attended the Vanity Fair Bloomberg White House Correspondents’ Dinner together in Washington DC.
While the couple never confirmed reports of an engagement, the model has been seeing wearing a large emerald ring on her ring finger on several occasions in the past, sparking rumours that the couple were planning on being wed.
In March 2017, Shayk gave birth to their daughter.
Earlier this year, Cooper opened up to Oprah Winfrey about his “incredible” child, revealing that she bears a strong resemblance to his late father.
“I can’t believe I’m going to admit this, but I had moments when... I was just in the room with her, I would say, ‘Dad?’ Because there’s some moments where she looks just like my father,” the 44-year-old said.
Cooper and Shayk were known for keeping the details of their relationship private.
Shayk explained her reasoning for this in February, telling Glamour UK that doing so was a “personal choice”.
“I have a lot of friends who share a lot of their personal life on Instagram or social media, very publicly,” the 33-year-old said.
“I admire it and I think it’s great – but I think it’s all about personal choice.”
Shayk added that because her profession “requires” her to be on social media a lot, she chose to keep her personal life “quiet”.
“That’s why it’s called personal, because it’s something for you and your family, and I feel happy with it,” she added.
Following the emotionally charged performance of “Shallow” at this year’s Oscars from Cooper’s directorial debut A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga dispelled rumours that she and Cooper were romantically involved.
“Yes, people saw love and that’s what we wanted you to see,” Gaga told American talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.
“From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time.”
