Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Pritchard has teased his brother Curtis over his flamboyant dance moves as shown in Wednesday night’s episode of Love Island.

Speaking on ITV’s This Morning on Thursday, the 24-year-old professional dancer joked that watching his brother perform as part of the racy dance challenge was “scarring”.

For the challenge, Curtis, along with his fellow Islanders, was required to don fancy dress and create a routine with the aim of raising the heart rates of contestants of the opposite sex.

Curtis emerged for his contribution wearing a feathered headdress and a pair of glistening purple hot pants.

The 23-year-old proceeded to wiggle his hips, writhe around and lick his fellow Islanders while dancing along to ebullient carnival music.

AJ was quick to point out he had nothing to do with influencing his brother's choice of dance moves.

"Well I never taught him those moves," he said, adding that he'd done a lot of dancing with his brother "but not those moves".

AJ was asked to respond to a clip showing contestant Maura Higgins giving his brother a lap dance as part of the challenge.

"I think the more scarring clip was when Curtis came on in the hot pants, that was more scarring," he said.

"I don't know how he got them on or off."

Curtis's mother, Debi, was also on the programme and revealed she'd "never laughed so much" watching her son's performance in Wednesday night's episode.

The family was also asked to comment on Curtis's breakup with fellow Islander Amy Hart, who decided to leave the show earlier this week.

"It was real," Debi said of her son's previous relationship, which ended after Curtis spent time away from Hart in Casa Amor, where he developed romantic feelings for another contestant.

"The bubble was there," Debi continued, "and then when the bubble burst because Casa Amor, Curtis was out of the bubble and maybe stopped to think 'Amy's relationship is growing at a faster relationship than mine' and he questioned it." AJ confessed that he thought the way his brother let Hart down was "a bit too brutally honest" and said he could've ended things in a "softer" way.
