Your support makes all the difference."NATURAL born billers" (5 March) alerted readers to the risks of contentious and well-publicised litigation involving the high-fliers of our profession.
I was saddened, however, by your correspondent who, commenting that "the British legal profession is still deep in the worst recession it has ever known", suggested that most high street firms are "in some degree of financial trouble".
Such careless remarks as this can only help to quite unnecessarily undermine public confidence in solicitors' practices, the vast majority of which are not only perfectly sound financially but also offer extremely good value for money in the wide range of services they provide.
