From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Lana Del Rey, Jared Leto and Courtney Love have joined forces to star in a new vintage-inspired campaign for the new Gucci Forever Guilty fragrance.
In the campaign, shot by British film director Glen Luchford, Del Rey and Leto undertake menial tasks surrounded by an menagerie of animals including ostriches, tigers, owls, and snakes.
During their day running errands, the pair are seen folding laundry and dancing together in a laundromat.
At other points, Del Rey is seen wheeling Leto around a supermarket and joining him to get her nails and hair done at a salon.
The pair are later united with Love who makes a cameo as a waitress in a diner they visit during their day out.
In the caption of the promotional video, posted to the Italian luxury brand's Instagram on Monday, Del Rey and Leto’s characters are described as “individuals who live and love outside of social conformism”.
Gucci Beauty also shared a photo of Del Rey- who will release her sixth studio album, Norman F*cking Rockwell in March - on its Instagram page.
In the caption of the photo, which sees Del Rey sitting in a hair salon chair wearing a bright green Gucci jumpsuit, the 33-year-old is described as playing a "glamourous and quirky" individual in the visual for the new campaign.
Del Rey and Leto were announced as the faces of the campaign in November and attended the Met Gala together last year dressed in Gucci, styled by the brand’s creative director, Alessandro Michele.
On Monday, Michele posted a behind-the-scenes photograph of the pair on the set of the campaign on his Instagram page.
“Los Angeles,” he captioned the shot.
