Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. This year's edition of international interior design, gifts and household accessories tradeshow Tendence will feature several new presentations and awards alongside the show's established activities, thereby giving a greater insight into the interior design trends and hot designers of the coming year.
Now in its 15th year, home furnishings and accessories exhibition Tendence, held from August 26-30 in Frankfurt, is one of the key interior design trend shows of the year. This year's show is divided onto two main categories, Living and Giving, and is expected to attract nearly 60,000 visitors from around the world.
On August 16 the organizers of Tendence announced the addition of new awards and presentations which will be taking place alongside more established activities at this year's event.
These new awards and presentations include: the addition of Austria as a partner country, with performances reflecting Austrian culture and Austrian design companies; the Home&Trend Award , which honors consumer goods for their quality and concept; and Africa Chic - a presentation of African companies working in the high-end design market.
Other events taking place at Tendence include the Female Designers' Forum, the Next program for young designers and fair trade ethical accessories market "Jewellery: fair for all."
More information about the Tendence trade show can be found on the website or via the official iPhone application.
Later in the year the latest in home furnishings and household accessories will also be exhibited at the biannual Maison and Objet trade show from September 9-13 in Paris.
