Your support makes all the difference.Kesha has vowed to “love myself” after posting a make-up free selfie showing off her freckles on Instagram.
The 31-year-old singer posted a close-up photograph of herself to the social media platform that displayed her countless freckles, soft blue eyes and and platinum-blonde hair.
“This year my resolution is to love myself… just as I am, all f*cked up and imperfect and whatever else. And to let my freckles liiiiiiiive,” she captioned the selfie.
The post has so far garnered over 395,000 likes, with fans praising the “Woman” singer for her declaration of self-love.
Comedian Amy Schumer commented: “You are so gorgeous!”
“Best you’ve ever looked!” wrote another.
The photograph also encouraged several of Kesha’s fans to post their own make-up-free selfies, with one writing: “Girl I love your freckles I so wish I was younger.
"When you debuted cause I’ve spent years getting rid of mine cause I was bullied for them! Now I miss my freckles.”
Another commented: “Freckles are literally so pretty, I love mine and even when I hated the way I looked the one thing I liked about my body were my freckles. Lucky I learned to love myself and my body.”
This isn’t the first time the singer has showed off her freckles on social media.
In August 2018, the star shared a photograph of her freckle-less years after admitting she was moving away from her former glam-rock, glitter-covered beauty aesthetic.
“I really wanted to make a change – be more raw and real,” she told Vogue in 2015.
“I wanted to be more confident in myself – embrace every inch of my body – not try to cover up with makeup.”
Next month, Kesha will embark on a four-day Caribbean cruise festival titled “Weird & Wonderful Rainbow Ride”.
During the trip, the singer will perform two sets, which will feature both music and activities involving several other high-profile musicians and entertainers including Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness and Australian singer Betty Who.
