On Sunday, as many stars made appearances at the MTV VMA’s, the new mother shared the photo to her Instagram Stories, where she joked about what she was wearing for the awards show.
“Hair and makeup by: @exhaustion,” Perry wrote on the photo, also crediting the makers of her nude maternity bra Medela and her grey Frida Mom underwear.
In the top corner of the photo, Perry added a spinning VMA gif.
On Twitter, fans praised the pop star for sharing the honest photo of her postpartum body.
“Beautiful girl power! Embrace it,” one person wrote.
Another said: “I love this. You go Katy.”
While she is embracing her postpartum body, the singer, who recently released her new album Smile, also joked that her new music video for Champagne Problems, which she posted over the weekend, will help her get her pre-baby body back.
“Allllll weee goooot arre #ChampagneProblems nowwe,” Perry captioned a clip of the video on Instagram. “Listen to Champagne Problems to get your pre-baby body back.”
The singer and Bloom announced the birth of their daughter on Wednesday via the Unicef Instagram page.
“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” the couple, who are ambassadors for Unicef, said, adding: “But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every 11 seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes.”
