The Hustlers star recalled the emotional experience during an interview with Dan Katz and her fiancé Alex Rodriguez on his podcast The Corp.
Revealing that she is a fan of the Bad Guy singer, Lopez said: “My daughter is in love with her. We had a real moment at the Billie Eilish concert that was like: 'Oh my god, we're bonding right now. It's amazing.'"
After Rodriguez recalled that Lopez’s 12-year-old daughter Emme became emotional during a backstage meeting with Eilish after her concert, the I’m Real singer explained why the “mind-blowing” moment was eye-opening.
“I watched my daughter freak out over Billie Eilish and I was like, what?” Lopez said, explaining how her daughter reacted with shock when the singer walked into the room. “I looked at her and I was like: ‘What’s the matter?’”
According to Lopez, her daughter was in tears during the meeting because she’s “idolised” Eilish since she was eight years old.
Reflecting on why the moment was so important for her daughter, Lopez said Emme “connects to” Eilish’s songs and “loves her style”.
“It moves her,” she said.
According to the 51-year-old, who revealed earlier in the interview that “you get used to” the emotional meetings with fans, the experience and her daughter’s reaction to meeting the fellow pop star made her more appreciative of her own fans.
"It made me appreciate what I do more, my fans more, what Billie did for my daughter," she said. "All of it, it was like a full-circle moment. We love Billie."
In March, Lopez shared photos of the meeting on Instagram, where she can be seen hugging Eilish with her daughter in between.
"When Emme met Billie," the singer captioned the photos.
