It seems that Jennifer Lopez has removed her “commitment” ribcage tattoo amid her divorce from Ben Affleck.

At the Toronto International Film Festival, the 55-year-old Atlas actor stunned in a gorgeous disco ball-esque gown with black ties – which many have dubbed a revenge dress. The silver dress was designed by Tamara Ralph and was paired with a metallic Judith Leiber clutch, Hassanzadeh jewelry, and Dolce & Gabbana platform heels.

The gown’s side openings strategically showcased Lopez’s bare ribcage. The dress also revealed that Lopez’s tattoo, which she got to commemorate her union with the 52-year-old Oscar winner, was seemingly gone for good.

In an Instagram post shared on Valentine’s Day 2023, the “On The Floor” singer shared that she and her husband Affleck had gotten matching tattoos together. She got an infinity symbol on her ribcage with an arrow running through it, as well as their first names written within the symbol’s loops. Meanwhile, Affleck got a pair of crossed arrows and the letters B and J.

“Commitment,” Lopez captioned the post at the time. “Happy Valentine’s Day my love.”

The singer filed for divorce from Affleck on August 20, two years after the pair married in July 2022. TMZ first reported the news, noting Lopez had filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court and listed April 26, 2024 as the official date of separation. The Selena actor reportedly represented herself, having filed for divorce without using a lawyer.

“She tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken,” a source told People. “The kids are a top priority, as they always have been.”

“Bennifer” – as they were known in the early 2000s – famously rekindled their romance in 2021, more than 17 years after their first engagement. The couple initially postponed their wedding in September 2003, before breaking up in January 2004. The pair both went on to marry other people – Affleck with actor Jennifer Garner and Lopez with salsa singer Marc Anthony – and have children of their own.

Lopez reunited with Affleck in May 2021 announced their engagement in April 2022. They were married in July of that year, tying the knot during an intimate ceremony in Las Vegas. The couple celebrated their marriage for a second time in August 2022 during a lavish wedding ceremony in Georgia. The festivities were held on the grounds of Affleck’s 87-acre compound on the outskirts of Savannah, with his best friend Matt Damon among the famous attendees. Podcaster and life coach Jay Shetty reportedly officiated the ceremony.

Lopez filed for divorce on the second anniversary of their traditional wedding ceremony.
