From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. The digital entrepreneur posted the photo on social media along with the caption: “Business Dad life never stops. Though sometimes it pauses for a family photo. Trying to do the best I can for these two.”
The family of three posed in a driveway next to a red Lincoln after celebrating Christmas together in Florida.
Williams has been sharing numerous pictures and videos of what she’s been getting up to over the holidays, including baking a rainbow cake, playing games with her daughter and sledding in fake snow.
The sportswoman has also shared videos of herself back training on the tennis court, and is set to compete in the Australian Open in February - provided it goes ahead given coronavirus restrictions.
Williams currently has 23 Grand Slam singles titles - just one behind the record set by Margaret Court in 1970 - but had to withdraw from her most recent match at the French Open last October due to an Achilles injury.
In the past, the professional athlete acknowledged the impact motherhood has had on her career, and how she often feels like she’s not around enough for her daughter.
In an Instagram post in August 2018, she explained: “We have all been there. I work a lot, I train, and I’m trying to be the best athlete I can be.
"However, that means although I have been with her every day of her life, I’m not around as much as I would like to be. Most of you moms deal with the same thing.
"Whether stay-at-home or working, finding that balance with kids is a true art. You are the true heroes.”
Williams concluded the post reminding parents that it is okay to have a rough day and there’s “always tomorrow”.
