From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. In an Instagram Q&A, the model replied to fans and followers with various photos as they asked to see images of her on different dates in 2020.
Hadid, 25, was pregnant with her first child, Khai, last year, and many of the photos she has shared offer a glimpse at her baby bump, including one from August 2020 in which the model is pictured in a gold bikini.
In another photo, Hadid offers her followers an insight into her daughter’s playroom, which she switched up from being an office space.
Now, the all-pink room is filled with toys and stuffed animals. There is also a tent in the room and a small pink ball pit.
In another photo, the new mother shared a shot of Khai holding her finger.
“Nap time is over, [got to go],” Hadid wrote as she signed off the series of photos.
The photo reel comes after Hadid spoke to American Vogue about pregnancy and motherhood.
The model said in the interview that she is a “realistic” thinker, and felt no need to rush to return to her pre-pregnancy size when she was asked to shoot the Vogue cover 10 weeks after giving birth.
“I know that I’m not as small as I was before, but I also am a very realistic thinker,” she said.
“I straight up was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll shoot a Vogue cover, but I’m obviously not going to be a size zero,’ nor do I, at this point, feel like I need to be back to that.”
“I also think it’s a blessing of this time in fashion that anyone who says that I have to be that can suck it.”
