Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has confirmed she is giving the “soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities” of marriage a second chance after announcing her engagement to television producer Brad Falchuk.

The announcement comes four years after the 45-year-old described her separation from first husband Chris Martin as a “conscious uncoupling”.

She and the Coldplay frontman finalised their divorce in 2016 after 13 years of marriage.

Confirming what most people call marriage, Paltrow made the announcement during an interview for the latest edition of her lifestyle magazine, Goop.

“I have tried to accept how complex romantic love can be,” she said.

“I have decided to give it [marriage] a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that [terrifyingly] are made possible by intimacy.”

The pair also appear on the front cover with Falchuk wrapping his arms around his new fiancee. Meanwhile another image inside, captured by Steven Pan, shows off Paltrow’s engagement ring as the couple embrace.

The Oscar-winning actress also admitted that her divorce to Martin “used to feel like a failure; it took me a while to reframe that divorce isn’t a failure.“

Paltrow and Falchuk, 46, have been dating for around two years having worked together on the popular TV series Glee.

The couple also joined forces for the TV series American Horror Story and Scream Queens.

Inside the new ”Sex & Love“ issue, which is available on January 9, Paltrow also speaks with relationship psychologist Esther Perel, rounds up some of the world’s most romantic destinations and, you guessed it, makes recommendations for “toxin-free yoni products.”
