From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. With the eighth and final season under way, the ultimate conclusion to Game of Thrones is a mystery as the battle for the throne occurs simultaneously with the Night King’s attempts to infiltrate the Seven Kingdoms.
However, if you think you have figured out the various clues and are confident you know who ends up on the Iron Throne, you could be eligible for a free Game of Thrones-themed vacation.
The opportunity, possible through a competition created by Unforgettable Croatia, means one lucky fan will be able to go on a luxury GOT tour of Croatia - which played a "key role in the production" of the show.
The tour, which will span seven nights, will include an exclusive tour of the show’s most notable landmarks - including King’s Landing, Qarth, Braavos, and the Westeros Riverlands - for two.
In addition to a private tour, spanning both Split and Dubrovnik, the lucky winner will also get to enjoy visits to the islands of Hvar and Vis via speedboat.
While international flights are not included, the winner and guest will stay for free in five-star accommodations in both Split and Dubrovnik - with breakfast included.
To enter the competition, all you have do is send your prediction for how the final season of Game of Thrones will end in 1,000 characters or less.
The competition is currently accepting predictions and will close at 11.59pm on 5 May.
The fan with the correct answer will be invited to enjoy the trip in October 2019. You can submit your theory here.
