From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The demo of Fifa 20 will arrive within hours, EA Sports has announced.

Players will be finally be able to play the game on 10 September, developers said.

The demo will include the new updates to the game including VOLTA Football – the mode that re-creates the beloved Fifa Street – and 11v11 Kick Off.

EA Sports gave few details on what else would be in the demo, including which teams players would be able to use.

The release date was revealed alongside the full player ratings, which were hit by technical issues that meant they were actually delayed.

The demo had been expected to be released on 12 September, based on previous announcements. That means that players will get to have a go on the game a couple of days earlier than expected.

The full game will come out on 27 September, on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.
