Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

The 95.8 Capital FM Extravaganza 97 comes to Earls Court, London on 24-27 May. The event is a totally interactive festival of fun for active people. There's the chance to try in-line skating, a bungee jump, or mountain biking on the Giant bike track. Take part in a basketball dunking comp, or play the latest games on a Sony PlayStation. Most activities come free with the pounds 6 admission fee.

Capital 95.8 FM will be broadcasting live from the show and many artists, including Damage and Kavana, will be performing. With dance and fashion shows, as well as the latest films being shown on UCI cinema screens, there's something for everyone.

The first reader to call the ticket hotline on 0171-420 0958 on 19 May after 10am, quoting The Eye, wins the first prize of one UCI yearly membership (admitting 2 people) and a pair of tickets for Extravaganza 97. Second prize for the next caller is one UCI monthly pass and a pair of Extravaganza tickets; and the next 15 callers will each win a pair of Extravaganza tickets.
