From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Starbucks has launched a new range of healthy premium 'Bistro Boxes' that includes options like chipotle chicken wraps, sesame noodles and salumi and cheese.

The healthy grab-and-go boxes clock in at below 500 calories and also come in snack options like tuna salad and chicken and hummus.

The selection of eight convenience packages, in North American locations this week, was developed, the company says, to address rising consumer demand for more nutritious, portable snack and meal options. Prices range from $4.95 to $7.95 US and $5.45 to $6.75 CAD.

The company has also launched a VIA version of their Caramel Flavored Iced Coffee, an instant-mix pack designed for a standard 16 oz. (473 ml) water bottle that comes in packs of five.

Between July 14 to 17, customers in the US will also receive a free beverage with the purchase of any Starbucks VIA Ready Brew pack.

The product launch follows on the heels of a launch from fast-food rival McDonald's which brought back its Premium Asian Salad with Grilled Chicken to join a roster of new salad options this summer.

Similarly, Burger King is rumored to be in the midst of a major menu overhaul, with added options that include a new chicken and apple salad with blue cheese and an Asian chicken salad with edamame, red cabbage and sesame lime vinaigrette.

Here's a quick look at some of the Bistro Boxes:
