Kranch: Heinz reveals new sauce and people don't know what to make of it

Heinz has unveiled its latest saucy concoction – “Kranch” .
The combination, a mix of ketchup and ranch, is not the first hybrid product from the American company. Last year, a mayonnaise-ketchup condiment called “Mayochup” was released to very mixed reviews.
Even more controversially, in March this year Heinz debuted “Mayocue” – a mayonnaise and barbecue sauce blend – and the unappealingly named ‘Mayomust’ – a mayonnaise and mustard sauce.
The company teased their latest announcement, posting a blurred out picture of the new sauce in a bid to hype up the public.
As you may expect, the announcement has been met with both disgust and delight.
Dalia Adler, Associate Director of Marketing for Heinz, said in a statement: “When we launched Mayochup, Mayomust, and Mayocue, our fans speculated on social media what they thought the next condiment mash-up should be--the tweets were pouring in!
“Inspired by our fans’ ideas, our new Kranch sauce is a blend of ketchup and ranch that will completely change your condiment game this summer.”
The reaction on social media has been far from supportive, however.
“Kranch? Absolutely not,” one person wrote on Twitter.
Another said: “Hope it doesn’t taste like Krap.”
“Kranch” will be in US stores later this month, but if you can’t wait until then just mix ketchup with ranch dressing at home.
