Food & Drink: Your chance to join Sophie Grigson for a Mediterranean cookery demonstration
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.THIS IS your chance to join Sophie Grigson, our award-winning cookery writer, for a special readers' demonstration day. Sophie will be deconstructing a range of modern Mediterranean dishes, which may sound challenging but are in fact simple and delicious. They include Tarte Fine aux Tomates et Pistou, Pissaladiere and Tunisian Orange and Almond Cake.
The demonstrations take place in the cookery theatre of Gaggenau, the kitchen manufacturer, near Heathrow airport. Places are limited to 30 per day to allow everyone a good view and the chance to join in. Many tickets have already gone, so please book early for your preferred date.
The demonstrations will be from 10.30am-3pm on Thursday 6 May, Saturday 8 May and Sunday 9 May. Tickets cost pounds 48 and include coffee on arrival, lunch with wine, recipe cards and an olive oil tasting. To reserve your place, send your name and address and a cheque for pounds 48 (made payable to the Art of Living Cookery Day) to: The Art of Living, 11 Kensington Park Mews, London W11 2EY. Bookings will be confirmed in writing with directions on how to find Gaggenau. Further details: Caroline Humphryes (071-727 6542).
