Your support makes all the difference.A confectionery company is recruiting a “bakery tester” who will be paid £600 to eat 12 boxes of sweet treats.
UK-based bakery Electric Piñata is hoping to find someone who will taste test its latest creations, from its Circus Caramel bake, to its new Fluffy Nutter flavour or Mint Delicious Rocky Road.
The role is not an offer of full-time employment but will see the chosen person asked to test 12 boxes of food, one per month from now until next year.
All they need to do is review each sample and sending over photos and videos that can be used on the company’s website.
The person will be paid £50 per box and, naturally, get to eat a lot of delicious treats.
The job description reads: “ Ever dreamed of being paid to eat chocolate? Well, today could be your lucky day.
“We’re looking for someone to become our official bakery tester, trying out all the latest creations dreamed up in the Piñata kitchen.
"As a thank you for your time (and all those delicious, decadent excess calories) you’ll be picking up a cool £50 per box you test and review.”
To apply for the role, Electric Piñata is asking people to share a photo of themselves eating chocolate on social media alongside the hashtag #PlayWithYourFood.
The company said it will pick the image it feels “embraces the Piñata values of fun, friendly and colourful”.

Last month, a similar tasting role was advertised by a biscuit manufacturer, which is recruiting a “master biscuitier” and offering a salary of £40,000 per annum.
The role is full-time and offers 35 days of holiday in addition to free on-site parking.
