Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Celebrities have branded themselves on just about everything. Sean 'Diddy' Combs, international mogul, recently released a new line of flavored vodkas and Mariah Carey, award-winning singer, is promoting her new champagne with drunken public appearances.

Diddy’s Ciroc, produced in France, is respected as one of the better luxury vodkas because of the quality of its ingredients and distillation process. A bottle can be purchased just about anywhere in the world and runs about $34.99/L or (€ 25). On February 3, Ciroc launched Ciroc Red Berry And Ciroc Coconut.

On January 15, after a few slurred speeches, Mariah Carey, tweeted “Didn't realize they put the champagne on the tables, So we WOULDN'T drink it! LoL. No, seriously ANGEL CHAMPAGNE (ROSE) by MC coming soon!” Angel Champagne can be purchased on AngelChampagne.com. The MC bottle bears Mariah’s signature but is presently not for sale, however Angel Champagne Rose costs £1019.00/750ml (€ 1168) or £ 1535.00/1.5L (€1761).

Other unlikely stars with branded beverages include Dan Aykroyd’s Crystal Head Vodka and Lil Jon’s Little Jonathan Winery.
