Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Ever heard of haul videos? Ever wished for an online, fashion-only TV channel? Ever thought there was an annoying side to the Olsen twins? Find all your cures in this week's fashion videos.

Very Mary Kate

Mary Kate Olsen impersonator Elaine Carroll attracts hundreds of thousands of views for her short episodes about the fashion-obsessed twin going through her quarter-life crisis.

In "Fight," Mary Kate wants to have a baby to give her life a new meaning.

Hauling

Following the beauty tutorial craze on YouTube, there's a new phenomenon becoming increasingly popular, called hauling: these videos mainly consist of girls showing their viewers the contents of their shopping bags from stores such as Forever 21, generating up to several million views per clip. Not everyone agrees with the popularity of these girls, however, due to the 'bragging' nature of the videos, and many of them are attracting almost as many 'hater' as fan comments. Here are the best-known 'haulers:'

Blair (juicystar07) & Elle (allthatglitters21) Fowler were just recently featured on the TV show Good Morning America: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PU8DJ89fZOs

DulceCandy87 attracts vast numbers of visitors even though her videos can last up to 20 minutes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdVk6ixepDY

Fashionair

The first online channel entirely dedicated to fashion, Fashionair follows stylish people in its 'Seven Days of Chic' series, interviews fashion personalities, and broadcasts shopping and travel guides.
