Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Adidas has released its latest filmed ad for the Originals range, starring soccer star David Beckham, rapper Snoop Dogg, and R'n'B artist Ciara.

Other stars of the diverse line-up include the Korean singer Lee Hyori, Serbian tennis star Ana Ivanovic, fashion designer Jeremy Scott (who has designed for the brand before), Brit popper Noel Gallagher, US actress and singer Adrienne Bailon, British supermodel Agyness Deyn, German singer Cassandra Steen, and US reality TV star Whitney Port, among others.

Many of the girls also appear in the new digital women's lookbook of the brand, which can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Egt8Ceiem4A

Adidas recruiting these stars for its latest campaign is further proof of the increasingly blurry borders between fashion and other 'disciplines:' Beckham previously starred in Armani underwear ads and is now planning to launch his own label, Ciara has been named the new Givenchy muse, and Noel Gallagher's brother Liam has just announced the expansion of his Pretty Green clothing range.
