From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. During an Instagram Live with hair stylist Ken Paves, Victoria Beckham spoke about her recently launched cosmetics company Victoria Beckham Beauty.
Upon the company’s launch in September 2019, it was described as a “clean beauty movement”, featuring products made using “only the cleanest ingredients”.
Victoria Beckham Beauty released its first skincare product two months later, unveiling a moisturiser that was developed in collaboration with regenerative medicine expert Professor Augustinus Bader.
While speaking to hairdresser Paves, Beckham emphasised the inclusive nature of her products, saying that they wanted to make sure “that everything we create works on all skin types, all skin tones, on men and women”.
The fashion designer stated that her spouse is a “big fan of the golden primer”, describing him as “my best model”.
While taking part in the live-streamed conversation, Beckham pointed out that her husband was leaving comments asking for more Victoria Beckham Beauty products.
“I can see a message from David saying he’s run out of serum,” the 46-year-old said. “I will bring some home.”
The Victoria Beckham Beauty Cell Rejuvenating Power Serum is available to purchase for £180 online.
It is described on the company’s website as a “daily dose of active ingredients that strengthens the skin’s barrier function and supports ultimate skin health”.
The former professional footballer also posted a comment stating that their youngest child, nine-year-old Harper Seven, was “watching and smiling”.
In July, Victoria and David Beckham’s oldest child, 21-year-old Brooklyn Beckham, confirmed his engagement to Nicola Peltz.
Brooklyn announced the news by sharing a photograph of himself and his partner on Instagram, a picture captured by his younger sister.
Peltz wore a lemon yellow dress for the engagement photograph, a garment designed by her future mother-in-law.
The dress is from Victoria Beckham’s spring and summer 2020 collection and retails for £1,450, although it is currently available for a reduced price on Net-A-Porter.
David and Victoria both shared messages of congratulations for their son, with David stating: “Congratulations to these two beautiful people as they begin this exciting journey together. We are so, so happy for you guys.”
Victoria wrote: “The MOST exciting news!! We could not be happier that @brooklynbeckham and @nicolaannepeltz are getting married!
“Wishing you so much love and a lifetime of happiness. We all love you both so much.“
