Spectrum Collections launches Disney makeup brush collection
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Founded by sisters Hannah and Sophie Pycroft, the brand has teamed up with Disney for a series of collections consisting of beautiful brushes, accessories and storage that are set to launch throughout the year.
The first collection to hit the market is inspired by The Little Mermaid with a range of products inspired by the characters in the film, Ariel and Ursula, and spring/summer 2018’s catwalk trends of heavy glitter, metallics and embellishment.
“It is an incredible honour to be working with a global brand so rich in heritage. We love Disney and the nostalgia it brings which has inspired our collections,” says Hannah.
“It really is a dream come true for Sophie, myself and the team.
“We grew up with Disney and for us it represents a magical, colourful and inspirational world. Combined with our own experience of starting in a garage and rising to great success along with how Disney inspires everyone to ‘dream big’, hopefully the collection is inspirational to our customers and fans of both brands.
“We’re really excited to be able to offer a piece of nostalgia, combined with on-trend design and ethical material choices which we hope will be a hit with consumers spanning generations.”
The six-piece collection contains two make-up bags, an Ursula makeup brush set, an Ariel makeup brush set and a set of five brushes inspired by Ariel’s treasured “dinglehoppers”, which you can buy with or without a treasure chest case.
Even better, the entire collection is vegan and cruelty free with 1 per cent of the revenue being donated to Plastic Bank – a charity that pays local communities to clean plastic up from the oceans.
