Last year, Dawson launched a documentary series on YouTube titled The Secret World of Jeffree Star, which shone a spotlight on the life and career of make-up artist Star, who in December 2018 was named the 5th highest-earning YouTuber.
A second series, The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star, launched earlier this month, after Star and Dawson revealed they had partnered on a cosmetics collection.
In a new video shared on Dawson’s YouTube channel, fans of the digital influencers were granted a glimpse at the bold make-up collection, which is due to become available on Friday 1 November.
The short film follows Dawson and Star as they take part in eccentric photo shoots in preparation for their beauty launch, praise the products’ eye-catching packaging and become emotional while visiting the brand’s warehouses.
Following the release of the video, the collaborators both expressed their excitement over their partnership on Twitter.
Star, who launched his eponymous cosmetics company in November 2014, said he has “never been more proud of a project” in his “entire life”.
Dawson responded to Star’s tweet, writing: “I can’t stop crying. I can’t believe it.”
Fans of the YouTubers flooded social media with congratulatory messages.
“Actually cried. I’m so emotionally invested. Shane you deserve this,” one person wrote on Instagram.
“As I live and breathe... I’ve fallen in love. Such an amazingly put together, unexpected and outside of the box palette,” another remarked.
Dawson and Star have not yet revealed how much the products in their make-up collection will cost.
The Conspiracy collection will feature two eyeshadow palettes, in addition to six lipsticks, a lip gloss, a mirror and a range of make-up bags.
Earlier this year, Dawson became embroiled in controversy after a clip from a 2015 podcast resurfaced in which he suggested he had performed a sexual act on his cat.
The YouTuber later issued a statement on Twitter in which he said the story was “fake” and his comments had been “based on a dumb awful sketch idea” he had several years prior.
