It was back to business as usual following the Golden Globes blackout as the ceremony was awash with colour and vibrant gowns – but the Time’s Up movement was still very much a topic of conversation.
From its first ever female host, star of The Good Place Kristen Bell, it was women who took centre stage at this year’s SAG Awards.
With politics and female empowerment serving as inspiration, it was a rosy pink palette that dominated the night as women took the most literal interpretation of femininity and used it as a sign of strength and authority.
From Margot Robbie’s pale pink Miu Miu gown to Kate Hudson’s bubblegum pink number and Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown’s sequined halter dress, most stars swapped their black gowns for what became the unofficial hue of the night.
Elsewhere, metallics proved another big trend with Lupita Nyong’o and Nicole Kidman standing out from the crown in iridescent dresses, while Yara Shahidi ditched tradition for a statement black jumpsuit complete with dramatic train.
