Weekly Facebook fashion index: most popular jeans brands
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.According to Stylophane's newly established Facebook Index, Levi's is the most-followed denim label on the social networking site, followed by G-Star and Pepe Jeans.
Here is the top ten of most-followed jeans brands, based on the company's so-called FBI:
1) Levi's (179,259 fans)
2) G-Star (142,151 fans)
3) Pepe Jeans (67,975 fans)
4) Miss Sixty (54,427 fans)
5) Wrangler Western (50,041 fans)
6) Energie (29,015 fans)
7) Miss Me Jeans (26,335 fans)
8) Lee (21,434 fans)
9) Mavi (12,422 fans)
10) True Religion (11,293 fans)
Since the brands have to be added manually and the Stylophane index is still quite new, there are some big denim brands missing from the list that would actually top all or many that are ranked here: Diesel has 358,457 followers, for example, and Replay would be in sixth place with 44,074 fans.
It is interesting, however, that brands generating the most 'hype' on the internet, such as 7 For All Mankind, or Current/Elliott have far less than 10,000 followers, proving that the mainstream is not interested in designer jeans.
