Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

This autumn Gina Shoes will be available through mail order for the first time. They will be featured in the Kingshill British Designer Collection Catalogue, which has brought the likes of Caroline Charles and Betty Jackson to a wider public.

This is a rare treat for Gina fans, who could formerly buy the well-made, elegant shoes only from the Sloane Street store and a few selected outlets across the country. Of the seven styles available, most are heeled, and will encourage Gina shoe enthusiasts, who are after the perfect evening shoe, to spend more than they planned. Strappy black satin heels and T- bar slingbacks with diamante buckles should fulfil most footwear fantasies.

One pair really stands out: simple, unadorned flat pumps with lizard print that look perfect with this season's narrow-legged trousers - they could become essential day-wear. The pumps come in black, chocolate and navy blue, as does the entire capsule collection for the catalogue.

The Kingshill British Designer Collection Catalogue is available to order by phone on 01494-890555 and costs pounds 7.50. The flat lizard pumps cost pounds 115 and are available in sizes 31/2 to 61/2.
