Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The dresses from last night's Met Gala might seem like the kind of gowns most of us can only dream of owning, well not anymore.
Topshop outfitted a cohort of up-and-coming stars in a range of bespoke gowns - some of which are available to buy right now.
Emily Ratajowski, Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin and Josephine de la Baume all attended last night's Met Gala decked out in Topshop's finest.
De la Baume wore a red patterned fishtail maxi dress which can be yours for £200. Ratajowski opted for a white floral midi dress - ideal for summer occasions and a snip at £195.
For Hadid it was a black silk dress with high neck and cut-out section and lastly Baldwin in an embroidered pastel blue mini dress both retailing at £195.
This isn't Topshop's first year at the Met Gala, last year the high street store created gowns for Kendall Jenner, Toni Garrn, Jourdan Dunn, Chanel Iman and Zoe Kravitz - but these dresses were never made for wider release, instead auctioned for charity.
Topshop's presence at the annual Gala is part of a wider trend which has seen high street brands participating in the traditionally high fashion event, this year H&M partnered with Sarah Jessica Parker to create her look.
If you fancy getting hold of one one of these limited edition Topshop gowns, be quick, they won't be around for long. topshop.com
